Our 2025/2026 Freshers arrive at College.

This year's cohort of first-year students has had a whirlwind first few days at Wadham. As well as meeting staff and their fellow students, they have got to know College and Oxford's landmarks through our Freshers' Reps scavenger hunt.

We hope that everyone enjoyed the welcome BBQ prepared by Head Chef, Neil, and the Kitchen team. As well as enjoying the food, students learned about our partnership with OxFarmToFork, a collaborative project led by Good Food Oxfordshire that connects Oxfordshire’s institutions directly with local agroecological food producers. Director of Sustainability, Frances Lloyd, and Head Housekeeper, Helen Wynn, were on hand to share recycling tips and induct everyone into Green Wadham.

Next up, we have garden tours, library inductions, an introduction to rowing, movie and quiz nights, karaoke, and more. We're particularly looking forward to meeting some visiting alpacas at a welfare event later this week. We hope that everyone is already feeling at home at Wadham.
