The "British" Monarchy is more complicated than you think...

Video release of a short talk by recent Wadham graduate (BCL, 2023), Dane Luo.
Dane teases the talk: "The Royal Family is usually seen as a British institution. But Charles III is not just the King of the United Kingdom but also the King of Canada, King of Papua New Guinea, King of The Bahamas and King of 12 other Realms. This presentation explores how the divisibility of the Imperial Crown occurred and recounts some of the controversies on the way."
Dane won three postgraduates prizes from the Law Faculty at the end of his time at Wadham: the Vinerian Scholarship Proxime Accessit, the prize in Advanced Administrative Law and prize for Commercial Remedies. He is now a DPhil candidate in Law at Pembroke College.
This talk is part of a pre-dinner series in the SCR, originally organised by Wadham's Research Associates, and now organised by the MCR. The series brings the SCR and MCR together and allows Wadham academics to share their research across disciplines.
