The Rex Warner Prize

Made possible by the generosity of Mrs Frances Warner, in memory of her husband Rex Warner, an Honorary Fellow of Wadham College.
The College offers a Rex Warner Prize [or Prizes] of up to £150.
Entries are invited in each of the categories below:
( i ) an original short story
or ( ii ) an original poem or poems
or ( iii ) a prose or verse translation from any ancient or modern language into English.
Entries should be submitted by email by Friday 1st week Trinity Term [Friday 26th April 2024]
Prose submissions should not normally exceed 7,500 words. Entries should be legibly typed or printed.
The Prize is open to Wadham undergraduates, students on the Sarah Lawrence visiting programme, and to graduates at Wadham who have not exceeded the end of the 9th term from commencement of graduate study, and will be awarded each year in which an entry of sufficient standard is submitted. The winning entry may be published in the Wadham College Gazette or featured on the website.
