Michael Rosen gifts a copy of 'The Shadow of God' to the Senior Common Room Library
The Fellows of Wadham and their guests were delighted to welcome Michael Rosen, our former Visiting Fellow and Professor of Government at Harvard University, back to College to celebrate the publication of his latest book. Professor Rosen presented a copy of The Shadow of God: Kant, Hegel, and the Passage from Heaven to History to Professor Stephen Heyworth, Bowra Fellow and Tutor in Classics, for the Senior Common Room library. The book, which provides an exploration of the ‘afterlife’ of God, showing how apparently secular habits of mind in fact retain the structure of religious thought, was published by Harvard University Press in June 2022.
