The PROMYS Europe programme offers six weeks of challenging and stimulating mathematical exploration for school students aged 16+ from across Europe.

PROMYS Europe is a partnership of PROMYS, Wadham College and the Mathematical Institute at the University of Oxford, and the Clay Mathematics Institute. The mathematically-ambitious students are encouraged to explore the creative world of maths through guest lectures and challenging daily problems throughout the six-week programme. They also enjoy 'Friday Fun' and social activities, including the ever-popular annual talent contest organised by the Student Counsellors, and have time to explore Oxford at the weekends.

The PROMYS students from this year's cohort spoke about how they have enjoyed learning about number theory and that it is helpful to be set a daily problem that they then work through. The student counsellors, who are each assigned to 3-4 students, are also there to discuss the Maths problems of the previous day. Some of the Year 11 and 12 students said that it is good to meet like-minded people and that they will keep in touch with the new friends they have met on the programme. Amelie (Year 11), Rebecca (Year 12), Sam (Year 12), and Nick (Year 13) are all hoping to study Maths at University and plan to stay in contact with each other.
