Wadham's Access and Outreach team wins a Future Leaders UK Award

Wadham's Access and Outreach work has been recognised at the inaugural Future Leaders UK Awards at BT Tower in London.
Wadham was the joint winner, alongside Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge, of the Higher Education Inclusion Excellence Award.
Our Access and Outreach team provides a responsive and inclusive programme to help young people make informed choices about their futures. This prize recognises the achievements of the team led by Dr Hugh Munro, Tutor for Access.
Future Leaders UK is a non-profit award-winning leadership programme empowering disadvantaged young people across London to realise their full potential and become community leaders. Wadham works with Future Leaders by providing Information, Advice, and Guidance sessions. In partnership with other colleges, we held a Future Leaders graduation at the Museum of Natural History in Oxford. We were also pleased to host students who were attending the July Oxford Open Days as our overnight guests.
Dr Hugh Munro said:
“The Future Leaders programme gives their young people intensive support with their next steps, including access to top universities like Oxford and Cambridge, and empowers them to make a difference in their local communities. There are examples of people from their programme going on to study here or going on to access brilliant options elsewhere. They are a wonderful example of what happens when we work in partnership with charities, schools and other top universities.”
Dr Hugh Munro welcomes a group of school students to Wadham.
