Natalie Kyneswood

Biography

Dr Natalie Kyneswood's five-year, Wellcome funded project is a comparative investigation of trauma-informed approaches to justice for victims and witnesses and the development of specialist sexual offence courts in the UK. Her current project involves collaborating with the Ministry of Justice, Scottish Government, Rape Crisis England and Wales and Rape Crisis Scotland. Natalie has expertise in feminist legal studies, criminal evidence and procedural law, the treatment and questioning of victims and witnesses, special measures, alternative approaches to justice and court observation methods.

Natalie is a Barrister of the Middle Temple (non-practising) and has previously held an ESRC Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies examining the piloting and extension of pre-recorded cross-examination for adult 'intimidated' witnesses.
