International students

We welcome students from all over the world.

Wherever you're from, we are committed to ensuring that all students feel part of our academic community.

Visa and Immigration Matters:

The University's Student Immigration team provides visa and immigration information both to new applicants and to current students. If you are unsure whether or not you will need a visa to study in the UK then you should consult the visa and immigration pages of the University website as early as possible.  Applying for a visa can be lengthy so you are advised to familiarise yourself with the process early on, and ensure that your application is made in good time. For more specific queries, get in touch with the University’s Immigration Advisors (student.immigration@admin.ox.ac.uk).

Information for International Students

The University provides dedicated information for new students arriving in Oxford from overseas.

In College, the Student Union has an International Officer who runs a variety of activities in Freshers’ week to help international students settle in to life in the UK more broadly and life at Wadham more specifically. Further details of these events are made available to new students via our Freshers' website.

International students might also be interested to look at the OU Student Union website; the Union provides welfare, support, representation, and campaigning services to all students at Oxford University and has a useful ‘Advice and Wellbeing’ page.
