Undergraduate Offer Holders
Congratulations on receiving an offer; we do hope that you will choose to accept it! Wadham is a very friendly and welcoming place, and we look forward to the prospect of you joining us.
If you have any questions about your offer, your course or the College, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the Admissions Office (admissions@wadham.ox.ac.uk).
For answers to some commonly asked questions, please see below or visit the University's webpage with helpful information for incoming students here
If you are currently using a school email account for correspondence and have not provided us with an alternative email address, please provide us with details of a personal email account by emailing admissions@wadham.ox.ac.uk. This is essential as many schools will cut off email access soon after the end of the Summer Term or at some point in September. Wadham's Academic Office and the University's IT department will need to email you to set up your student email account, so you will need to ensure that this is possible. From past experience, not supplying a functioning email address has led to offer holders missing out on essential information regarding accommodation and Fresher's week, so do please keep us updated on any changes.
Additionally if your postal address changes at any point, please let us know directly by email to admissions@wadham.ox.ac.uk, as we will, by default, send correspondence to the addresses supplied on your original application. If your address is a term-time address, it is also important that you let us know which alternative address you would like us to use.

Many applicants, who have applied post A-level (or equivalent) will have the following wording listed as part of their offers:
"Since you have already met part or all of these conditions, you must provide original certificates or legally certified copies to the College by 1 March for any requirements already met."
We are happy to accept good quality scans of qualifications, stamped and signed by your school and emailed in to our admissions inbox at admissions@wadham.ox.ac.uk. During enrollment we will ask to see the original certificates and transcripts.
Please include an accompanying official translation for certification that is not in English.
Offer holders providing proof of their US qualifications, will need to do so via their College Boards, noting that it might only be possible to direct mail to the University of Oxford. Please rest assured that certification will be sorted centrally and distributed to the correct colleges.
All offer holders for 2025 entry will receive an email in March informing them of their fee status (UK/Republic of Ireland (ROI) or Overseas) and asking them to complete a Financial Declaration form by a specified deadline.
We normally expect offer holders assessed as Home/ROI fee status to apply for Student Finance. If you are doing so, we will ask you to send us a copy of your Student Finance 'University or College Payment Advice' document when you submit your Wadham College Financial Declaration Form to us via email to admissions@wadham.ox.ac.uk.
If you are assessed with a Home/ROI status and intend to self-fund your studies, we will still need a completed and returned copy of your Financial Declaration informing us of your intentions.
If you have been assessed as having Overseas fee status, we will ask you to provide evidence of how you intend to pay your University and College fees for the first year of your course. Please return this to us by the deadline specified on the form. Guidance is given in the appendices detailing what you will need to send.
Please visit the Oxford University website for an introduction to Student Finance at Oxford, including information on living costs.
Wadham is committed to supporting students and staff with disabilities. For details of our lead disability contacts, please click here.
If you have a disability that you have not already disclosed, please let us know so that we can make any appropriate arrangements in good time for the start of your course. Please refer to www.ox.ac.uk/swd for further information on sources of support for students with disabilities.
Reading lists and preparatory work sheets will be posted here in due course; in the majority of cases they will not be made available until after A-Level results are released in August. Please note that if you hold an offer for a joint subject, the reading lists and preparatory work for each individual subject may be released at different times, and you will be sent each piece of work as soon as they are available to the Academic Office.

A pre-sessional English course is offered by the University’s Language Centre, running from August to September 2025 (dates tbc). It is a six-week intensive programme for international offer-holders, who are non-native English speakers.
The course is designed to provide the necessary skills to succeed in an English-speaking academic environment, with particular focus on language proficiency, academic writing and study skills. It also provides an opportunity for students to learn about British culture, visit places of interest in and around Oxford, and make friends with students from around the world.
Early booking is advised. For more information about the course, please see here.
If you have any questions:
Email: admin@lang.ox.ac.uk | Telephone: +44 (0)1865 283360
Note that accommodation will not be addressed until after A-Level results day in August, at which point all confirmed Freshers will be sent a questionnaire where they will be able to specify their room preferences (referred to as the Accommodation Ballot). After this, you will be contacted by either the College Accommodation Office or the Student Union with further details.
All undergraduate freshers are guaranteed accommodation on the main College site for the first year of their course, and College-owned accommodation for the duration of their undergraduate studies. Please see the Accommodation page of the website for further details on rooms, kitchens, ensuites etc., with current Board and Lodging charges linked in a pdf at the bottom of the page.
Move-in weekend: All Freshers will be expected to move into College on Sunday 5 October. If you need to arrive earlier due to international travel, extenuating circumstances etc., please contact the Accommodation Office directly once your place has been confirmed in August 2025 and you have completed the online room questionnaire.
English Language Requirements
Candidates holding offers conditional on fulfilment of the University’s English Language requirements are asked to provide proof of proficiency (usually in the form of a certificate) by 10 July 2025 at the very latest. For details of acceptable English Language qualifications, please visit www.ox.ac.uk/englang.
Non-standard qualifications
Offer holders sitting non-standard, A-Level equivalent qualifications in this academic year (i.e. anything other than A-Level, IB, Pre-U, SIPCAL) are asked to provide original or certified copies of their transcripts to the Wadham Admissions Office as soon as they receive their results, and by 31 Julyt 2025 at the very latest. Please have your school/college email signed, good quality scans/photocopies to admissions@wadham.ox.ac.uk. Alternatively, signed copies of the true originals can be provided by a professional adviser (such as an accountant or lawyer). We will also accept posted copies of the hard originals, which will be returned upon validation.
If you know that you will require a Student Visa for your study in the UK, please look out for important emails from us and from the Student Immigration team over the coming weeks. Please email a colour copy of your passport to admissions@wadham.ox.ac.uk at the earliest possible opportunity, as this will speed up the process of applying for a CAS number on your behalf at a later point.
If, in any email correspondence, we indicated that we expect you to require a Student Visa and you believe that this is not the case, it is imperative that you email us at admissions@wadham.ox.ac.uk with the reason why you do not require a Student Visa (e.g. you hold dual nationality) and any relevant dates relating to this (e.g. you have indefinite leave to remain from X date etc.)
Please visit the University website for further information on visas and immigration, or contact the team with any questions on student.immigration@admin.ox.ac.uk
Please find below an example copy of the college contract. You are advised to read this contract carefully before accepting your offer, as we will ask those who meet the conditions of their offer to sign a copy in August of their entry year.
As soon as possible (and no later than 31 June 2025) offer holders requiring a Student route visa for their study at Oxford should send a clear, good quality, colour copy of their passport to admissions@wadham.ox.ac.uk.
