It has been a pleasure to welcome almost 200 alumni and guests to Wadham this past month.

1975-79 Gaudy

Having postponed the 1975-79 Gaudy at the onset of the pandemic in 2020, this long-awaited reunion finally took place on Saturday 18 March. We were delighted to welcome such an enthusiastic group, with some even travelling from Europe and the US, and it was a joy to see Hall buzzing with energy and full to its capacity. We extend our warmest thanks to Honorary Fellow Sally Mapstone DBE FRSE (English, 1975) for so beautifully capturing the zeitgeist of this group in her after-dinner speech.

Alumni Society Dinner

Saturday 1 April saw the return of the annual Wadham Alumni Society Dinner, which has this year been brought forward from the traditional September scheduling. Connecting the generations, we welcomed alumni across the years; from some who were students in the 1950s, right through to others who had graduated in the last couple of years. Special thanks to Duncan Enright (Physics, 1982) for joining as our pre-dinner speaker and for sharing his personal experience and insight into how 15-minute cities turned into an international conspiracy theory. We were also happy to welcome Honorary Fellow, Verena Knaus (Modern History, 1995).
